Studio Maternity Photoshoot at Saxon Barn, Gloucestershire

Pregnant woman stood under floral arch in a stone barn

When was the last time you stepped in front of the camera—not for someone else, but for you? As mothers, we’re so often behind the lens, capturing everyone else’s moments, that our own stories can go undocumented. But your journey into motherhood, whether it’s your first step or a continuation, deserves to be celebrated, too.

In February 2024, I had the honor of hosting my annual Mother’s Day Mini Sessions at the stunning Saxon Barn in Stonehouse. With its gorgeous stone walls, and soft natural light, the barn created a space that was both grounding and magical. It was the perfect setting to pause, reflect, and celebrate the beauty of motherhood.

I enlisted the help of Daisy Belle Floral Design, who created some stunning floral arrangements to fit the vision for my two backdrops. The first was a delicate floral arch, with pops of pinks and purples. The second, featured flowing fabric, offering a softer, more ethereal vibe.

To give you a glimpse of what you can expect from a mini session, here’s a selection of images from Sinead’s maternity gallery. The way she held her bump and reflected on this moment in her life was so genuine and moving. It was a beautiful reminder of how special this time is and why it’s worth documenting
